bank robbery in south florida. investigators got a break this weekend when the car used in the heist was found in coble gables. it began last week when three thieves burst inn a bank teller's apartment at gun point. they placed a bomb on the teller's body and forced him to withdraw a large amount of money. sources tell abc news the bomb was a fake. >>> federal authorities are looking into a landing gear problem that resulted in a very frightening flight. video taken saturday night by a passenger on a delta flight captured the moments before the plarn made an emergency landing. sparks were seen out the window when the flight from atlanta to white plains, new york, was diverted to jfk airport. the pilot was praised, as was the air traffic controller. >> you were lucky. the controller actually working that airplane last night is eight weeks away from retirement. and he's been working airplanes for 29 years. i mean, we couldn't have asked for a better person to be in that position. >> there's more of that interview this morning coming up on "good morning america." the passengers were tak

, the corner of 18th and florida avenue. the driver of the car behind us slammed into a well known ethiopian restaurant in adams morgan. fire officials say two female pedestrians were struck and transported with serious injuries. both are in their 20's. one of them is in very critical condition. the female driver at the scene was irate, detained with handcuffs, put in the police car. she was arrested and refused treatment at the scene. the car drove right through the front of the business, shattering the store front bay window. the police are trying to figure out exactly what went wrong here. >> i cannot figure out how she did it. taking out the entire restaurant and two people. this is a busy intersection, but coming down where she was, there is no sense to it. >> still a big police scene, trying to figure out what happened, interviewing witnesses, trying to figure out if the woman was speeding or not. this entire area between 18th and florida is completely closed to vehicular traffic. >>> we are also following breaking news from springfield. nine people have been transported to hospital af

. censored. it appears where "adult services" used to be. at first glance it seems their virtual red light district disappeared into cyberspace. but after a simple point and click on the site we found adult services still on craigslist, in plain sight, under a different category. casual encounters. craigslist contended all along taking down the adult services section would only drive sex ads to other parts of the site. that's what happened. we found several ads like this one, seeking young beautiful ladies, give us a call, pay to play. this certainly isn't what the group of attorneys general had in mind when they wrote a joint letter to craigslist last month calling for the section to be removed. >> if it does migrate to another part of craigslist, then this will be another battle that we have to fight in this war. >> reporter: last month, this young woman talked to abc's david wright. >> i was sold for sex by the hour at truck stops and cheap motels. >> reporter: she said pimps use craigslist to sell her for sex. >> the "world news" story actually helped because it built a public sympathy

joins us with the latest. >> charges are pending against female driver of the car. this was quite the scene last night. you can see the aftermath of what happened. the debris here in front of the keren restaurant here in adams morgan. the bay window of the restaurant was smashed from impact. authorities are trying to piece together how this happened. the sound of this white car crashing into the front of this popular ethiopian restaurant echoed throughout this busy section of adams morgan. >> a lot of squeaking and tires hitting the curbs and the glass flying. not a pretty scene. >> witnesses watched with horror it is a female driver of the car lost control, ran on to the sidewalk and hit two women before slamming into the restaurant. the two pedestrians, who are in their 20's, were transfered to the hospital with serious injuries. officials say the driver refused to be transported to hospital and was irate as she was being handcuffed. >> coming downtown the speed she was, there was no sense to it. >> the crash happened just before 9:00 on wednesday night. restaurants packed with

. nine u.s. soldiers have been killed. let's go to miguel marquez in afghanistan with the latest. miguel? >> reporter: in addition, to the nine soldiers killed, one u.s. soldiered injured, one afghan death, as well. it's just north of where i am, in kandahar province. it happened in zabul province, a mountainous region. troops are coming here every day by the hundreds or thousands. the last time the u.s. suffered this bad a crash was back in 2006, when a chinook went down. we're not entirely certain what type of chopper this was. the taliban has claimed credit. but u.s. officials here say there's no credible claim of enemy fire in that region. and they still don't know what brought the chopper down. often, the taliban takes credit for these things just to do it. this is part of an overall effort here in kandahar and across the country. the surge of troops that president obama ordered are in-country. and they are moving into the final phase of that surge, getting ready, getting into the hottest of the offensive operations. but they will be conducting. it is likely that we're going to see
